En outre, le service abrite un v\u00e9ritable centre de recherches de pointe en \u00e9tudes mameloukes et en histoire du livre en Islam. Plusieurs jeunes docteurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es (voir <a title=\"Axes\" href=\"http:\/\/web.philo.ulg.ac.be\/islamo\/axes\/\">Axes<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La tradition philologique reste la ligne de conduite de l\u2019enseignement et de la recherche dans le service, mais depuis l\u2019int\u00e9gration de l\u2019arabe au cursus de Langues et Litt\u00e9ratures modernes, les comp\u00e9tences orales des \u00e9tudiants sont davantage sollicit\u00e9es et encourag\u00e9es ; un lecteur arabophone est d\u2019ailleurs venu
