justify\"><strong>Interplay between Syntax and Semantics in Late Egyptian: the verbs of motion :<\/strong> The project (supported by a four-year PDR of the FNRS) aims at making significant improvements on how the verbal lexicon of ancient Egyptian is structured by focusing on a case study: the verbs of motion in Late Egyptian. Instrumental for this study are 1) the analysis of the argument structure of verbal lexemes (which includes a description of the semantic roles of the arguments), 2) the co(n)textual definition of the meaning of each verb in relation to the grammatical patterns they are used with. Finally one will study how the VoMs behave in a semantic network and how they interact with semantically related class of verbs like the verbs of position, the verbs of transfer and the so-called caused-motion verbs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" class=\"fusion-li-item\"><span style=\"height:25.5px;width:25.5px;margin-right:10.5px;\" class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa fa-chevron-right\" style=\"color:#cf6059;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\" style=\"margin-left:36px;color:#000000;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/web.philo.ulg.ac.be\/lediasema\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Le Diasema: Lexical Diachronic Semantic Maps<\/strong><\/a> : This project is supported by a Marie Curie BeIPD postdoctoral fellowship from the European Commission (University of Li\u00e8ge; Dec. 2016 \u2013 Dec. 2018). Situated within the semantic map methodology, Le Diasema addresses the question of how semantic maps make significant predictions about language change at the lexical level.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" class=\"fusion-li-item\"><span style=\"height:25.5px;width:25.5px;margin-right:10.5px;\" class=\"icon-wrapper circle-no\"><i class=\"fusion-li-icon fa fa-chevron-right\" style=\"color:#cf6059;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-li-item-content\" style=\"margin-left:36px;color:#000000;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ramses.ulg.ac.be\/site\/aboutRamses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Le projet Rams\u00e8s<\/strong><\/a> : Le projet Rams\u00e8s a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 2006\u00a0; il fut et continue d\u2019\u00eatre support\u00e9 par diff\u00e9rentes bourses et financements (ARC\u00a0; projets et mandats du F.R.S.-FNRS et de l\u2019ULg). L\u2019objectif est de constituer un corpus \u00e9lectronique rassemblant la totalit\u00e9 des textes \u00e9crits en n\u00e9o-\u00e9gyptien (c.\u00a01350-800 av.\u00a0J-Chr.). Allant bien au-del\u00e0 de la simple saisie informatique de l\u2019\u00e9gyptien sous forme translitt\u00e9r\u00e9e, le corpus est encod\u00e9 sous sa forme hi\u00e9roglyphique et enrichi d\u2019annotations ecdotiques et linguistiques (de nature morphologique, syntaxique et s\u00e9mantique). Cet outil \u2014 innovant \u00e0 la fois dans le domaine de l&rsquo;\u00e9gyptologie et, par les m\u00e9thodes mises en \u0153uvre, dans celui de la linguistique de corpus en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u2014 devrait renouveler enti\u00e8rement les perspectives d&rsquo;\u00e9tude de la langue des Rams\u00e8s.
