Her main research interests are focused on ancient Greek religion and on how polytheistic systems operate, and also include the historiography of religions. She is the author of several works on Greek polytheism, its gods, its representations, its narrative traditions, its practices \u2014\u00a0especially its ritual practices \u2014\u00a0as well as on the travelogue of Pausanias, a particularly important source for the study of this religious system. With Andr\u00e9 Motte, she co-founded the journal <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.openedition.org\/kernos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Kernos<\/i><\/a>, the only international journal devoted to the multidisciplinary study of ancient Greek religion. Sa th\u00e8se vise \u00e0 mieux comprendre le d\u00e9veloppement et le fonctionnement des panth\u00e9ons dans les m\u00e9tropoles et dans leurs colonies \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque archa\u00efque. L\u2019\u00e9tude de ces \u00e9changes cultuels entre cit\u00e9s-m\u00e8res et cit\u00e9s-filles est entreprise par le biais de deux \u00e9tudes de cas : Paros et sa colonie Thasos dans le Nord de l\u2019\u00c9g\u00e9e, Milet et ses implantations en Propontide et en mer Noire. Apr\u00e8s \u00e0 un m\u00e9moire de master d\u00e9di\u00e9 au culte vou\u00e9 aux souverains s\u00e9leucides, il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un s\u00e9jour de recherche de 10 mois au Collegio dei Fiamminghi de Bologne financ\u00e9 par la bourse Jean Jacobs. Il pr\u00e9pare actuellement une th\u00e8se de doctorat \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Li\u00e8ge sous la direction conjointe de Vinciane Pirenne-Delforge (ULi\u00e8ge \u2013 Coll\u00e8ge de France) et de Stefano Caneva (Universit\u00e0 di Padova). Ses recherches portent sur les honneurs cultuels vou\u00e9s aux \u00eatres humains en Gr\u00e8ce ancienne. Il s\u2019int\u00e9resse plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont les Grecs eux-m\u00eames concevaient les pratiques rituelles \u00e9tablissant une \u00e9quivalence entre les destinataires d\u2019honneurs cultuels et les divinit\u00e9s traditionnelles. \u00c0 partir de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du lexique des termes utilis\u00e9s par les anciens pour d\u00e9crire cette relation, ses recherches mettent en interaction syst\u00e9matique les sources litt\u00e9raires et \u00e9pigraphiques dans l\u2019objectif d\u2019\u00e9tudier les d\u00e9veloppements de cette pratique depuis la haute \u00e9poque hell\u00e9nistique jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque imp\u00e9riale. Her publications relate mostly to the field of Ancient Greek religion, which she studies by using linguistic approaches and methodologies. Currently she is working on a project on ancient Greek polytheism, supported by a scholarship from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Her doctoral dissertation (University of Utrecht) was an exploration of the semantics of the religious value term hosios \u2018pious, just in the eyes of the god\u2019, especially in the context of the Athenian democracy. During a three-year postdoctoral position, she worked in Li\u00e8ge on the CGRN. Using all of the available evidence \u2013 literary, epigraphical, archaeological and iconographic sources \u2013, this study aims to establish correlations between sacrificial animals and divine recipients in ancient Greece. The purpose of this iconographic study, through an interdisciplinary approach, was to make an original contribution to the question of divine representation in Greek polytheism.<br \/>\nAs a postdoctoral researcher she pursued her research in Italy and Switzerland before obtaining a scholarship funded by the Belgian National Fund of Research (F.R.S.-FNRS). In the year 2014-2015, she is also an <em>Harvard\u2019s Center for Hellenic Studies\/Deutsches arch\u00e4ologisches Institut Joint Fellow<\/em>. Her research focuses on ancient Greek religion during the Hellenistic period, and particularly the continuity and\/or change seen in the epigraphic evidence. The topic of the transformations within pantheons is taken into consideration, notably through the study of the concept of patron deities. Her research interests also include the study of sacrificial practices as reflected in the inscriptions.
