I specialise in New Kingdom written material, and the sources from Deir el-Medina are thus of utmost importance to my work. In recent years, my work has centred increasingly on the written materials that stem from this community\u2019s close-knit network of scribes and workmen. Within this area of research, I have four main foci. From a socio-linguistic perspective, I analyse the impact that this network of scribes had on the language (technically, \u2018registers\u2019) that they used in their written productions. On the basis of grammatical discussions of different sources, I aim to enhance our understanding of the contexts in which ancient Egyptian texts were produced and used. I also attempt to track the habits of individual scribes in Deir el-Medina on the basis of palaeographical, orthographical, grammatical, and phraseological habits. Finally, I am involved in the publication of different types of hieratic sources stemming from the Deir el-Medina community, which are now scattered in various collections around the world.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-5 fusion_builder_column_1_5 1_5 fusion-one-fifth fusion-column-last fusion-no-small-visibility fusion-no-medium-visibility\" style=\"width:20%;width:calc(20% -
