I graduated in Classical Literature from Pavia University in 1999 and obtained a PhD in Egyptology at Pisa University in 2008. Before coming to Turin, I was a curator in the Egyptian section of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Leiden and worked as an epigraphist on the Chicago Oriental Institute\u2019s Epigraphic Survey of Luxor. Since 2011, I have been a co-director on the Italian-Dutch archaeological mission at Saqqara. My work aims to make the papyri and research on the papyri understandable and accessible to both the scholarly community and the public; herein lies my motivation for participating in the \u2018Crossing Boundaries\u2019 Project. I have overseen the refurbishment of the museum building and the renovation of its galleries, thereby transforming the Museo Egizio from an antiquities museum into an archaeological museum and research institute.
