International workshop NEITH : Religions in contact in Hellenistic Mediterranean

The workshop NEITH aims at responding to the need for discussion about the contacts and interactions between different religious traditions in the Hellenistic period. The focus is in particular on the relationships between the Hellenistic and the previous periods. Within the framework of a permanent international workshop, the purpose of NEITH is to combine methods inherited from comparativism in the history of religions with the most up-to-date models concerning mutual influences between cultures in contact. A seminal place is recognized for the study of documentary dossiers by combining the contribution of researchers from diverse expertise areas.
