The critical re-edition of Gaye’s Carteggio is stored in a relational database, which will be placed online at the end of 2018, and freely accessible.

The development of this database was led in collaboration with the Digital Center of Philosophy and Letters (CIPL) of the University of Liège, with the primary objectives to provide for each letter:

• a semi-diplomatic critical edition, accompanied by a genetic-type philological apparatus;
• a high-quality photographic reproduction of the original manuscript;
• precise metadata (authors, recipients, sending destinations, names cited in the letter…);
• detailed codicological and paleographical information.
