Meeting n°3: ‘Crossing Boundaries’
Meeting n°3: ‘Crossing Boundaries’
During the third general meeting of the project members in Liège (October 4, 2019), four main topics were on the table. First, we made a final decision regarding the PhD position in Basel and the post-doctoral position in Liège: the name of the successful candidates will be publicized on the project website. Second, we defined the outlines and contributors for upcoming posters and lectures (in Cairo and Mainz), and we finalized the project report for 2019 (which will be submitted to the RiME, by the end of October). Third, we discussed the implementation of the first features of the Virtual Light Table by Stephan Unter and tested the digital table of the Centre d’Informatique de Philosophie & Lettres (University of Liège). Finally, choices were made about different practical and organizational matters, such as an upcoming summer school and a general conference about New Kingdom hieratic collections, common working weeks on the fragments twice a year, and good practices in terms of encoding in TPOP and Ramses Online.
