Content Meeting n°1
Content Meeting n°1
After one year of work on the Turin papyrological collection, the content meeting in Liège (24–28 February 2020) has been the opportunity to share and discuss the main results of the project so far, which includes the transcription, analysis and encoding of hundreds of fragments of papyrus in the Turin Papyrus Online Platform (TPOP), the reconstruction of larger ensembles (including Necropolis Journals, Miscellanies and documents with texts such as The Satirical Letter of Hori, The Prohibitions, The Teaching of Amenemope), and the identification of previously unknown compositions (e.g., Divinations, Magical and Medical Treatises, private notes, and letters). Working sessions were devoted to difficult hieratic texts with challenging contents, benefiting from the kind support and expertise of Rob Demarée.
