Jessica Izak

I graduated with a B.A. in Egyptology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and am currently working on a M.A. in „Archaeology and Natural Sciences“ with a focus on Egyptology and archaeobotany at the University of Basel.

My main task on the ‘Crossing Boundaries’ Project is to assist the project team with importing data into the Turin Papyrus Online Platform (TPOP). This entails preparing images for upload, checking and entering existing transcriptions, transliterations and translations of hieratic texts. Furthermore, I take care of small, independent research tasks within the project such as library research, scanning publications, creation and control of bibliographical data and editorial work for (English) publications by the team.
