BIOGRAPHY

I earned my B.A. degree in Archaeology at the University of Basel with Egyptology being one of my two primary subjects. My familiarity with the layout and inhabitants of Deir el-Medina stems from a seminar paper I wrote on the ‘Xtm n pA xr’ within or in close proximity to Deir el-Medina, as well as my work on the finalisation of Kathrin Gabler’s ‘Who’s Who around Deir el-Medina’ (EU 31). One of my main functions on the ‘Crossing Boundaries’ Project is the construction of this website which I will also be updating on a regular basis. In addition to this, I am responsible for preparing plates which are to be featured in upcoming publications related to this project. This process generally entails producing hieroglyphic versions of hieratic papyri and papyrus fragments and redrawing images featured on them. Other tasks under my care include adding information to several papyrus entries in the database (TPOP) of the Museo Egizio, image editing and various research tasks.
