Sofia Mikheeva

I am working on finishing my B.A. in Ancient Civilizations at the University of Basel with Egyptology as one of the foci. I am mainly interested in understanding the worldview of ancient people through archaeological and textual sources. Another interest of mine is Egyptian ritual and magical practices.

My main function in the ‘Crossing Boundaries’ project includes preparing the hieroglyphic transcriptions of the hieratic papyri and uploading them to the Turin Papyrus Online Platform (TPOP). Besides, I assist the Basel team in various content and organizational matters related to the project.
