Stefan Jakob Wimmer

Hieratic palaeography has been a main focus of interest since my dissertation in 1995. Later, I formed the Deir-el-Medine-Online-team with Günter Burkard and Maren Goecke-Bauer at the University of Munich, where I am Ass.Prof. today. Apart from that, I am also curator for Hebrew and Ancient Near East at the Bavarian State Library. I take pleasure in joining the Crossing Boundaries Project as a collaborator in 2022, trying to boost the transliteration efforts.
